SALTISE Community Site

We’ve been a trusted digital partner to the SALTISE community for over a decade, helping them evolve their online presence to support their mission of promoting active learning. This latest collaboration marks a significant milestone, transforming their website into a powerful platform for managing the annual SALTISE international conference on active learning.

Our Role and Solution

This project can be warmly characterized as a true partnership, combining our technical expertise with a deep understanding of SALTISE’s community-driven mission.

A Decade of Collaboration

With over 10 years of experience embedded deeply with the client, we were uniquely positioned to execute a comprehensive site overhaul. We drew on the strength of our long-standing relationship keep  communication streamlined,  and ensured their new platform was well aligned with the needs of the SALTISE leadership and other key community members.

Event management

We designed and built a custom event management system, defining and streamlining a set of complex business rules into a well managed workflow engine, and empowering SALTISE to effortlessly handle every aspect of their annual conference: from speaker submissions to attendee registration. This system successfully automated the bulk of the event management workload, freeing up the team’s stretched previously resources to focus on community engagement.

Design and performance refresh

Beyond the new functionality, we executed a well received design refresh: a satisfying application of modernizing the user experience. We also conducted a thorough performance audit and optimization, which lead significant gains in site speed and efficiency.

CMS and stakeholder support

A core part of our work involved close collaboration with the SALTISE community. We were responsible for not just improving and supporting the CMS, but additionally ensuring the content entry process was intuitive and that the team had the tools they needed to manage the site effectively.

Key outcomes

The end result of all this hard work, was a more powerful, intuitive, and performant website that not only serves as a hub for the SALTISE community but also provides a robust, professional platform for their flagship annual conference. This project successfully blended complex technical development with user-centric design, and community oriented support.
