Switchboard Deal Management Platform

Switchboard is a real estate Montreal based startup who’s flagship product is a real estate/fintech deal pipeline. The Switchboard platform provides a modern interface for managing all user deal activity, documents, and communication in one place. Instead of working across email threads, spreadsheets, and separate CRMs, Switchboard allows your team to  manage tasks, track counterparties, and share updates in a single, organized environment.

Identifying a clear gap in the market, Switchboard is easy to set up and flexible enough to fit into existing workflows. Teams can define roles and permissions, keep records of deal history automatically, and see the status of work in real time. Built-in analytics provide a clear view of performance so that decisions are based on data, not guesswork.

LittleBox was brought in on the ground floor to oversee all aspects of product design and development, along side our industry partners. We managed a rigorous development product lifecycle, and oversaw a hybrid team of off and on shore developers, scaling up and down efficiently as project demands required.

The Challenge

SwitchBoard, a FinTech startup in Montreal, set out to modernize how enterprise real estate front offices manage deals, documents, and team workflows. In the average front office, existing tools were fragmented: permissions were inconsistent, document management lacked structure, and collaboration relied on multiple disconnected platforms.

To compete in a fast-moving market, SwitchBoard needed a custom workflow engine that combined the flexibility of modern agile tools with the robustness required for enterprise real estate operations.

The Solution

LittleBox became a key managing partner in the Switchboard team: our role was to design and deliver a full end-to-end product. Our mandate covered the entire lifecycle, from business requirements to deployment.

The Technology

We implemented a modern, scalable full-stack architecture:

• Frontend: ReactJS
• Backend: NestJS powered by TypeORM + Apollo/GraphQL
• Cross-platform apps: React Native for mobile, Electron for desktop

For DevOps and infrastructure, we deployed:

• CircleCI for CI/CD
• Dockerized services on AWS ECS (Fargate) with RDS
• Auth0 for centralized identity and access management
• Real-time messaging via Pub/Sub and Socket.IO

The Outcome

SwitchBoard now operates on a unified workflow engine purpose-built for enterprise real estate. The platform eliminates fragmented tools, improves collaboration, and enables data-driven decision-making through real-time visibility.
